If you’re like me, you often think about your life and if you’re on the right path. Perhaps the more important question to ponder is: Where do you want your path to lead?

Right now, you have two choices:

1) maintain the status quo and end up in the same place you are right now, or
2) create a new path that opens a world of possibilities.

The first option is easy. You simply do nothing. Yes, doing nothing is an option and a choice. You don’t have to make any changes. Yet, what are the pitfalls? What are you compromising?

If you’re happy where you are in life, then the first option might be right for you. If you’re not happy, not fulfilled, not earning as much as you’d like, let’s examine choice #2.

The second option is a bit more difficult. It provokes those uncomfortable feelings of uncertainty and fear.

If you’re unhappy, unfulfilled, and not earning as much as you’d like, choice #2 of creating a new path that opens a world of possibilities is worth exploring.

I want to share with you, how I created a new path, changed my life, and became happier than I could ever have imagined. I did all of that by building my own business as a Virtual Assistant and Virtual Expert®.

Any new adventure is scary. Instead of looking at starting your new VA career as something to be afraid of, look at it as what it is — an exciting adventure. There will be unexpected things that happen and challenges along the way. But, in the end, the journey will be worth it.

Here are 5 tips to create your new path as a Virtual Assistant and Virtual Expert®

1. Let Go of Fear

Allowing fear to control your decisions only results in crushing your dreams. You can rise above fear.

How do I know? Because I rose above fear. And what one woman can do, another can do.

When faced with a challenge, how are you going to handle it? Is there anything that could happen that you can’t overcome? No! There isn’t. You can face challenges head-on and come out the other side stronger than you ever thought possible.

You learn more from mistakes than any success you experience. Therefore, there’s no need to fear failure. Instead, embrace failure so you can achieve success faster.

2. Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

Significant change cannot happen if you remain in your comfort zone. If you desire to make a difference in your life, and the lives of your loved ones, it’s imperative to step outside your comfort zone and stay outside of your comfort zone.

Remaining in your comfort zone due to fear of failure or the unknown holds you back and prohibits you from changing your circumstances and maximizing your potential.

As you resolve to make the most of your life, stepping out of your comfort zone empowers you to achieve your dreams.

3. Create a Plan

Think about where you want to be a year from now. What do you want out of your Virtual Assistant business? Use these goals to design a map for the next 6 to 12 months. This plan helps you feel more secure in your path and makes it a lot easier to take the first steps out of your comfort zone.

4. Seek Help

You do not have to travel the path alone.

Many successful women, like me, are willing to pay - it - forward and help you grow your Virtual Expert® business. We want to share ideas and support along the way. All you have to do is raise your hand and ask for help. Then enjoy the company of brilliant women who have been in your shoes.

5. Enjoy the Journey

As you build your Virtual Assistant business, take the time to reflect on how far you’ve come, celebrate the successes, and take pride in what all your hard work has accomplished.

You are in control of your life. You have the power to have the career and life you desire and deserve.

Your Virtual Assistant business can be anything you imagine it to be. From the clients you work with to the services you provide, you have the freedom to create your own perfect business that allows you to live the life you crave.
