ABOUT THE DARE TO LEAP PODCAST
Dare to Leap is a conversation and community supporting women to create the freedom, flexibility, and financial security they desire and deserve.
This weekly podcast is hosted by Kathy Goughenour, CEO & Founder of Virtual Expert® Training.
Audience
We reach professional women who are growth-seekers striving toward freedom and flexibility in their work pursuits, so they can spend time with their families, and ultimately live out their purpose, destiny and legacy.
We speak to and with women who are mid-career and feeling trapped with no options, female entrepreneurs who have successfully transitioned to a non-traditional career and are looking for ways to grow, and leaders of remote workers.

PLEASE BE PREPARED TO SHARE YOUR JOURNEY
We will set up the introduction of our podcast by giving a brief introduction about you and your area of expertise as well as how we know you, then we’ll launch into questions for you.
Please note: We are working to entertain as well as inform. Our audience needs a good laugh once in a while to bring light to our busy lives. We’d love for you to share stories that you find funny and where this goal-minded audience can relate. Thank you!

- Backstory, Life Lessons and Step-by-Step Advice
- You may be asked to tell the audience about the beginning stages of your journey.
- What experience spurred your pursuits?
- We’ll discuss 1 to 2 pivotal moments/processes/skills that you developed in your journey (Please provide a personal story per example and/or actionable strategies/detailed steps)
- Please connect your story with how you dared to leap, and why that’s important to you. Or if you are still on that journey and what you are doing to get there.
- Then we’ll share some advice with the audience on how they too can dare to leap into freedom, flexibility, and financial security.
- Closing
We want to promote you! As we close the interview, Please be ready to share your promotion/book/website/brand, etc. and tell listeners where they can go to learn more about you and get in contact with you.
Tips to prepare for the Interview:
- Please be sure that you are in an utterly quiet setting
- Our interview will be approximately 30 to 40 minutes long, so please plan for the full 60-minute time slot to ensure we have adequate time for setup.
- This is an interview and conversational-style podcast. We want it to be casual, informative, entertaining, and fun.
- Please be available via Zoom. We will use both video (via YouTube) and audio (via podcast)
- Please refer to the email you received the day of booking the interview with the zoom link.
- Plug directly into the internet, rather than using WiFi, for the best quality recordings.
- Use a separate microphone from your computer as this will produce the best sound quality.
- Remember, you’re going to be on video, which will be loaded to YouTube on the same day as the podcast goes live. Be sure your background looks the way you want it to for video. I typically do not wear makeup, and I always wear a tiara. You’re welcome to come as you are, or whatever best represents your brand.

- We will send a notification email the week before your episode goes live on the show, including a link and image to share your story with your network.

Kathy Goughenour is an experienced and savvy business coach and trainer exclusively for Virtual Assistants and Virtual Experts.
She took her first leap after 18 years in corporate marketing. Between 2001 and 2008, she built a 6-figure real estate marketing VA business and a membership site for real estate agents, both of which she sold.
